Altron Limited, through its subsidiaries, provides ICT solutions in South Africa and internationally. It operates through Managed Services, Digital Transformation, Own Platforms, and Others segments. The Managed Services segment offers supports and maintains enterprise-wide information products and services, which include servers, desktop and laptop, point of sales, ATM dynamic solutions, warranty and incident management, availability and project management, and distributor for NCR products; and turnkey solutions, such as planning and building, provisioning and procurement of technology, and managing and operating networks for financial funding, and management of communications and information needs. The Digital Transformation segment provides networking, hardware, software, storage, software integration, SAP and management consulting, Microsoft certified solution, data warehousing, CRM, and support services; information security and risk management; IT infrastructure solutions comprising software asset management, software licensing, licence-management-as-a-service, managed services, cloud services, data storage, data center infrastructure management, enterprise software, servers, network security, unified communications, and virtualization; systems integration; and designs, develops, and implements specialized solutions. The Own Platforms segment offers vehicle tracking and recovery systems, fleet management services, and usage-based telematics; and managed electronic payment solutions, including mobile or online platforms, e-wallet, and medical transaction switching. The company was formerly known as Allied Electronics Corporation Limited and changed its name to Altron Limited in August 2021. Altron Limited was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
