Its domestic logistics services also include the transportation, installation, and setting of general cargo, heavy machineries, and artworks; factory and office moving services; warehousing and trunk room services; and collection and transportation of industrial waste. The company also provides global logistics services comprising customs clearance, as well as international multimodal transportation by surface, ocean, and air; overseas logistics; and air cargo sales agent services. In addition, it is involved in the provision of logistics consulting, logistics system designing and development, information system development, computer sales, travel agency, automobile inspection, real estate agent, and driving school businesses. The company was formerly known as Hitachi Express Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. in July 1985. Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. was founded in 1950 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
