PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk engages in the cultivation and harvesting of oil palm in Indonesia. The company also processes fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel; and refines CPO into value-added products, such as cooking oil, margarine, shortening, oleo-chemicals, and biodiesel. It offers cooking oil under the Filma, Mitra, Kunci Mas, and Palmvita names; margarines under the Palmboom, Palmboom Cake, Filma Prestige, Filma, Filma Danish Pastry, Menara, Menara Cream, Mitra, Smart Baker, and Palmvita names; and shortening products under the Filma Puff Pastry, Filma Baker's Cream Fat, Filma Butter Oil Substitute, Delicio White Baker's Fat, Filma GoodFry Deep Frying Fat, Goodfry Semi Liquid Frying Oil, Palmvita Deep Frying Fat, Palmvita White Fat, Palmvita Baker's Fat, Palmvita Gold Butter Oil Substitute, Menara, Menara Baker's Fat, Red Rose, and Filma Pusaka White Baker's Fat names. The company also provides specialty fats under the i-Soc CBS, i-Soc PCF, i-Soc CF, Delicio Coating Fat, and Delicio Toffee Fat names. In addition, it offers fractioned fatty acids, distilled fatty acids, glycerine, and soap noodles under the Sinar name; and cocoa butter substitute and soybean oils. Further, the company is involved in the cultivation of ornamental plants; provision of transportation and office administration services; and organic, oleo chemical, and bio energy businesses. As of December 31, 2020, it had a total planted area of approximately 137,512 hectares. The company was incorporated in 1962 and is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia.
