Randon S.A. Implementos e Participações develops and sells transportation solutions. It operates through three segments: Vehicles and Trailers, Auto Parts, and Services. The company manufactures and sells truck bodies, trailers, and semitrailers in the areas of grains, tankers, dry cargos, dumps, silos, reefers, sugar canes, forestry, siders, low beds, and vans; and hopper, gondola, tank, general cargo, platform, curtain, telescopic, and other rail cars. It also develops, manufactures, and sells rigid and articulated off-road trucks, backhoe loaders, and mini loaders; sells spare parts and components; and produces and sells friction material parts for the brake system, wheel ends, couplings and articulation sets, brake linings and pads, friction materials, fluids, actuators, wheel hubs, suspensions, discs and drums, axles, and other non-friction products. In addition, the company sells and manages coop-payment plans for trailers, agricultural machinery and equipment, minibuses, trucks, real estate, and vehicle markets under the Racon brand; and provides financial products and services. It operates sales and service network in approximately 100 countries, including Chile, Mexico, Canada, the United States, South Africa, and countries in Asia, as well as the European Union and Mercosur. The company was formerly known as Randon Participações S.A. and changed its name to Randon S.A. Implementos e Participações in November 2003. Randon S.A. Implementos e Participações was founded in 1949 and is based in Caxias do Sul, Brazil.
