The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, together with its subsidiaries, purchases, sells, and operates vessels for the transportation of cargo and passengers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company operates through Oil Transportation, Chemicals Transportation, Logistics Services, and Dry Bulk Transportation segments. It transports crude oil, oil products, chemical, and bulk and general cargo; and provides ship technical management and logistic services. The company also engages in agency activities for maritime shipping companies; cargo clearance and coordination on vessels' board transport and storage; and other marine transport activities. In addition, it owns lands and properties; and owns shares in other existing companies. As of December 31, 2019, the company owned and operated 89 vessels, which included 42 very large crude carriers; 30 chemical/product tankers; 6 multipurpose vessels; and 5 dry-bulk carriers. The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
