Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A. explores for and operates mining concessions in Peru. The company explores for zinc, lead, copper, and silver deposits. It holds interests in the Yauli, Animon, Alpamarca, and Cerro and Oxidos mines located in the department of Cerro de Pasco, and Junín and Lima. The company also engages in electric power generation; real estate; and port and logistic activities, as well as operates and maintains electric transmission system generation plants. In addition, it owns and operates 10 hydroelectric plants with a total installed capacity of 63 megawatts; 350 kilometers of transmission lines; and 26 electrical substations. Further, the company develops a port terminal. Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A. was founded in 1943 and is headquartered in Lima, Peru.
