It is the parent company of U.S. Bank National Association, more simply referred to as U.S. Bank, which provides banking, investment, mortgage, trust, and payment services through more than 3,000 branches and 4,800 ATMs primarily located in the Midwestern United States. U.S. Bancorp also owns Elavon, a processor of credit card transactions.
