The name is derived from the Latin word mundus ("world") and delez, a fanciful modification of the word "delicious." The Mondelez International company manufactures chocolate, cookies, biscuits, gum, confectionery, and powdered beverages. Mondelez International's portfolio includes several billion-dollar components.
